Bean's Success Story
Bean began her stint as a foster dog on July 25th. The Underdog volunteer who delivered her asked "are you ready to fall in love?" before opening the car door and letting Bean out. Bean is an adorable 1-year-old female beagle. She is energetic, sweet and cuddly. She loves company and often "tap dances" when she sees familiar faces approaching her. During her time as a foster, Bean enjoyed the company of rescue dogs Wiggy and Oscar, making frequent trips to a great dog park. Her adorable face attracte d her forever parents quite quickly, and she was adopted in mid-August. The folks at her new home report that she is doing well. She shares this new home in beautiful Cheshire, MA with two caring and responsible adults and two other beagles.

Common misconceptions before adopting a dog: |
|
1. We’re getting Rex for the kids - they will do all the work.
Maybe for the first week or so, but most kids will slack
off soon enough and the responsibility will fall on your laps.
You are considered to be the owner because you are over the age
of 21. If your kids do not walk Rex, then it is up to you that
it gets done. As much as we talk to our kids about responsibility
and as much as they agree to care for your new dog, we all know
that sooner or later most kids will lose interest or get tired.
If you can positively answer these questions and concerns, then you may be
ready to adopt Rex.
